Our pot luck today was a huge success! Thank you so much for helping your child participate. The food was delicious! Our grade 2 reading buddies were very excited to receive their invitations to lunch this morning:) Pictures will be posted to the blog tomorrow.

Oilers Reading Challenge

2. We will be treating our grade 2 reading buddies to a noon hour of great food and great grade 6 company. Shhhh! The grade 2s don't know. It's a Christmas surprise:)
3. ***There are nut allergies in the grade 2 classroom, so please bring NUT FREE food.
4. To avoid repeat dishes, please comment on this blog to let us know what your child will be bringing in on the 22nd. (We will also need disposable plates and utensils-One or two could bring that instead of food). Read previous posts to ensure you are not bringing the same thing as someone else.
We will also decorate the classroom for our first class dining experience. If you have a Christmas table cloth that you wouldn't mind lending, please have your child bring it in.

Christmas Concert info....
Doors will open at 6:30pm on Thursday before the Christmas concert. Students are to go to their homeroom classrooms. Student must be here no later than 6:45pm.

Santa Anonymous:)
We will be accepting donations for Santa’s Anonymous and the Food Bank until Friday. It will be here for all the concerts as well.

Social Studies
Start collecting pictures (from the newspaper, magazines, the internet etc) of people who are involved in active citizenship. We will be making a collage using these pictures on Monday.

Hello Parents,
Just a reminder that we are in need of some help with costumes. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Please contact your child’s teacher if you have anything we could borrow.
Props needed for ‘Twas One Crazy Night Before Christmas – Grade 4-6 musical
- 2 hard hats (small would be preferred)
- 2 hard hats (small would be preferred)
- NFL & CFL football jerseys
- 3 Santa Suits
- wig: long hair (hippie style), preferably white.
- 2 tool belts
- Assorted Martha Stewart books & magazines
- large, fake gold chains (think- Rapper!)
- handcuffs (toy)
